- This is true. However, the DSP evidently was never flashable in spite of
- the fact that it was implemented in some sort of flashable memory in early
- models. Evidently the original design called for an unflashable DSP and
- the use of flashable memory to hold the DSP code was some sort of
- work-around. This was never fully explained. Maybe they had a parts
- shortage in the type of ROM they wanted to use, I don't know. In any
- event, even early-model Powers can't have their DSPs flashed because the
- flash downloader evidently doesn't support it.

- According to Mot's web page, the Premier's DSP is flashable. This is one
- of its selling points.
